*MUST BE GC or Citizen please* The Business Intelligence Analyst is a critical role responsible for the discovery and elicitation of requirements for multiple Business Intelligence and Data Analytics projects. Partnering closely with various business stakeholders, Business Units IT and Engineering, the BI Analyst proactively translates business analytics needs into technology roadmaps, develops and recommends impactful solutions and drives execution and delivery of Business Intelligence products that provide actionable business insights. Responsibilities Lead analysis, discovery and elicitation of the requirements to enable execution of Data Integration, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics portfolio or projects Work closely with all constituents including corporate business teams, Data Science teams, IT, Engineering and Business Units to drive methodologies and processes that are conducive to analytics projects. Client, elicit and document business requirements, translating those needs into impactful and educated technology recommendations to address Data, BI and Analytics needs Identify risks and potential impediments and develop mitigating tactics to address them Plan and design the consumption of both internal and external data sources for analytics projects, identify potential data quality issues, design data integration approaches. Champion process improvements, best practices and knowledge sharing within the organization related specifically to Business Intelligence, Analytics and Data Integration capabilities. Remain on top of emerging technologies and industry trends and their potential application to the business(s) Identify new/additional data and analytics technologies, researching and evaluating options and solutions, vetting vendor offerings and developing business cases for their implementation where necessary Develop strategies and roadmaps for the proactive gathering and implementation of best practices in data integration and data delivery. Evangelize data visualization that promotes decision/action driven BI and analytics products. Working closely with vendors to execute the proof-of-concept and pilot of new advanced analytics technologies both in-house and cloud based Identify, gather and share new methodologies and techniques of requirements discovery and elicitation specializing on analytics applications. *Required Skills:* 10+ years in application development with 3-5 years' experience in Data Integration, Business Intelligence and Predictive Analytics Familiarity with BI technologies, e.g. Cognos, Tableau, SAS, etc. Proven ability to deliver high-value Predictive Analytics and Business Intelligence solutions in Insurance or Financial Services BIG Data and Analytics industry and technology knowledge of critical software with an understanding of Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, Tableau , R, Python and other analytics tools is a plus. Strong business acumen with a proven ability to evangelize and deliver technology to address a business need Understanding of data modeling concepts Excellent written and oral communications skills with strong presentation and PowerPoint skills Strong structured and unstructured data skills with the ability to understand and blend data sources for analytics purposes.
