Role: Web Developer Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 12 months Rate : $35/hr NEED ONLY LOCALS *Position Description:* Develop web pages, templates, scripts and other processes that produce content and syndication for the NASCAR.com group of Turner Digital Media Technologies. • Follows tasks through a development life cycle (coding, testing, debugging, documenting, peer-reviewing, deploying, monitoring, and support) in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards. • Contributes to task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities. • Participates in the analysis, definition, and scoping of efficient, cost effective application solutions. • Works with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for the successful completion of development and maintenance assignments (e.g. business development, database development, web designers, end-user training). *QUALIFICATIONS* -REQUIRED: *5 years experience developing Web sites* for business purposes. -Thorough understanding of the web and web browsers, their capabilities and their limitations. -Thorough knowledge of *HTML, CSS, JavaScript* (both in general and with libraries such as prototype, scriptaculous and jQuery) -Experience in *UNIX command* line required. *QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: * Development experience with *PERL/CGI, Flash/Action script*, *content automation and source control a plus*.--
