Description : The Manager of Information Systems (DW) will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the design, development, delivery and support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse. This includes overseeing and facilitating the following functions: Responsible for technical infrastructure designs, data mappings/flows and reports. Responsible for the selection, development, motivation, appraisal and salary recommendations for reporting subordinates. Ensure requests for development and enhancements are met in a timely fashion. Identifying and resolving process problems. Act as liaison to other peer groups in the organization. Act as emergency expert and 'situation manager' during outages. Identify and implement enhancements to streamline operational processes. Create or leverage existing projects to enable implementation of EDW Architecture in a way consistent with company needs or regulatory/legislative requirements. Responsible for the development and input to the IS budgeting process for EDW to meet business, regulatory and legislative requirements. Serves as a resource and consultant for management on EDW direction and designs for meeting business, regulatory and legislative requirements. Evaluate proposed or existing systems for adherence to the existing EDW Architectures; makes recommendations and/or facilitates the altering of systems or architecture to increase stability, usability and effectiveness of the architecture. Act as a catalyst for these changes and communicate the need, impact and ROI for all project or system stakeholders. Required Experience 10+ years in the DW space Relational and multi-dimensional database design concepts Data Warehouse development and support experience Data Modeling experience Candidate must have some project management experience. 10 years experience in an Information Technology field. Telecommunications experience is highly desirable. 5 years of experience in managing an IT/EDW team. Bachelors degree in computer science or related field.
