This individual is also the primary source for development, testing, enhancements to existing software, technical product support, installation of new software releases to customers and post-implementation technical support. *PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES* • Tests, codes, debugs and makes enhancements to existing software according to specifications. Performs maintenance on existing software products and is responsible for updating technical documentation • Application support and administration includes supporting roles for users, data migration, installation, testing, configuration updates, deployments and changes in multiple environments following an established Change Management process • Provides high quality service, with a focus professional interaction with all customers, contractors and vendors, both internal and external to Emerson. • Provides assessment of new requests for enhancements or upgrades of in-house developed and 3rd party software applications, including business analysis, requirements gathering and technical design • Effectively contributes to team goals, troubleshoots technical problems and recommends appropriate actions • In the event of issues, perform root cause analysis and work with software vendor to provide any software patching or actions needed to prevent issues from reoccurring *EDUCATION* • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related area *EXPERIENCE / SKILLS* • Advanced development experience (3-5 years) in C#.NET and VBA, VB or VB Script • Exceptional customer service orientation and written and verbal communication skills • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to multitask, evaluate high priorities and deliver quality performance under pressure • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work in a team environment • Experience with data analysis, reporting, conversions and extracts from/to SQL Server and/or Oracle • Troubleshooting experience with web-based and client-server applications • Ability and willingness to quickly learn new products and technologies • Experience with staged deployments - Development, Stage, and Production • Knowledge of various tools: 1. SQL Server 2008 or 2012, including scripting and maintenance tasks 2. Visual Studio 2010/2012, TFS 2013 3. Crystal Reports 2011 or higher 4. Web server management - IIS 7 and Tomcat 7.0 5.
