Position : Penetration Tester Location : Eagan, MN Duration : 6-12 months Responsibilities: Security Pen Testing for critical products. In legal tech a lot of applications but each application has different business criticality which is based on how important it is and how much revenue they bring in, does it involve critical confidential data. These are the critical ones which we are doing the security Pen Testing On. Security Pen Testing is done to ensure we make sure that the application is secure. 2. Can you share a little more about the team the identified candidate will join? We have 3 FTE’s and 2 contractors at this time. The expectation is for this person to be technical and independent and have experience performing Security Pen Testing and knows how to go in and attack the system. 3. What would make candidates excited about this position? Will be able to apply new/learned tactics related to Security Pen testing. 4.What are the top absolute must haves? Security Penetration Testing is a must with at least 5 years experience (5+ years’ experience in both manual and automation of penetration testing on web applications is an absolute must! 2. Good knowledge of network and security technologies such as TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, firewalls, LAN/WAN, routing and switching. 3. Working knowledge of Security principles, techniques and technologies 5. Major Areas of Accountability: Conduct formal both automated and manual penetration tests using approved standard methodologies to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in applications owned by Legal Technology. Assess security controls for large enterprise systems and applications, and hosting infrastructure. Evaluate configurations and implementations of firewalls, proxy servers, routers, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), IDS / IPS, wireless networks, etc. against legal requirements, organization’s local policy, industry best practices. Qualifications: University degree in computer science, computer engineering or information technology or related field. 5+ years of experience in the information security industry, particularly with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Possess CEH or equivalent. Working knowledge of Security principles, techniques and technologies, such as OWASP Top 10 and SANS Top 25 classification systems. Familiar with tools - Proxies, Port Scanners, Vulnerability Scanners, Exploit Frameworks (e.g. Burp, Nessus, etc). Experience supporting development teams to guide them all through remediation plans of code challenges. Excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills. Excellent collaboration and communication skills (both written and verbal).
