ROLE: Cisco Engineer DURATION: 6 Months LOCATION: Corona, CA BILL RATE: 35/hr LOCAL candidates only; or candidates who are willing to relocate. The hours will be Wednesday to Saturday 7AM to 5PM PST. 4, 10 hour shifts. The candidate needs to be flexible and available to cover shifts if another team member is out. *Manager Notes:* Initial phone screen will be conducted; if candidate is approved, an in-person interview with managers and the customer will follow. *Description:* Problems are varied and range from simple to complex. Resolution is both reactive and proactive; typically requires significant research and analysis. Incumbent handles non-routine issues by following standards or precedent. Work customarily and regularly (50% of time or more) requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment. Normally receives general instructions on non-routine work assignments. Decisions are made independently. Assigned multiple tasks or projects are generally reviewed after completion. Engineer will routinely work directly with customer. *Required Skills:* - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent. - Expert Knowledge with ability to demonstrate: OSPF, HSRP, BGP, EIGRP, layer 2 and 3 switching. IPT, ATM and IMA technology, MPLS, STP, Wireless. - Deep understanding of Cisco Voice Technologies. Configure and troubleshoot VOIP . Cisco Unity and Call Manger. UCCX - Expert familiarity with ability to demonstrate: installation and replacement of Cisco routers, 3660, 3745, 7200, 7500. Catalyst 3560, 2980, 4006, 5500 and 6500. Wireless access points. Wireless controllers. - Expert ability to troubleshoot and find root cause of critical outages that encompass all of the technologies above * Preferred qualifications:* -Certifications CCNA, CCVP, CCNP up to and including CCIE (Cisco certifications preferred at the professional level or higher) -5+ yrs of experience with mentioned skills (if no certifications). Ability to demonstrate all of the above in an interview.--
