Hi, I just got in a new Application Sybase DBA role for one of our direct financial clients. This role will be in NYC and is a long term consulting position. The bill rate will be $65 an hour.
Candidates must have: · Strong Application Sybase DBA background · Experience with Sybase IQ and DB2 · Financial experience Please ONLY send candidates that meet these qualifications. Job Description: Principal Responsibilities Work with Market Risk Technology developers to assist in design and rollout of new software on the Sybase IQ platform. Responsibilities would span technical design, development, testing, tuning, release and support. Along with Firmwide DBA team, take responsibility for operation of Market Risk Technology database servers, including Sybase ASE, IBM DB2 and Sybase IQ. Experience / Skills Required • Significant expertise and professional experience in Sybase IQ operations and administration • Track record of technical excellence with an emphasis on quality and focus on testing and continuous improvements • Strong communication skills • Strong initiative and sense of ownership • Working knowledge and proficiency in software engineering principles applicable to large systems • Willingness to learn and work with a proprietary development platform and language • Knowledge of Sybase ASE and/or IBM DB2 • Knowledge of some area of trading, and basic familiarity with one or more categories of financial instruments -- Regards, krish mylangam, [email protected].--
