Description: Functional/Technical Skills The technical business analyst has business analysis skills and experience in modeling business processes, and has good documentation skills. She or he knows how to conduct workshops and training sessions and has good industry knowledge. The technical business analyst is responsible for analyzing and modeling existing business processes. The goal of business process analysis is to understand and document current business procedures and identify areas for improvement. A thorough understanding of the current state of the organization is necessary prior to recommending changes related to implementing a new business solution. The technical business analyst uses modeling tools to document the current state of business processes as well as the desired future state. The technical business analyst is responsible for the knowledge transfer of business implications to the application/database developers and project managers.
