Position : Security Engineer Location: Westport CT Duration : 12+ Months Contract Job Description: Security Operations Associates are responsible for running the operational processes that support the Research Security Czar, and enforcing a strong culture of security awareness. Key responsibility areas include vulnerability management support, incident and request management support, departmental security policy enforcement, drafting publications, and support to access control adjudication. This specific position provides support to the L3 Ops Associate *Responsibilities would include:* Provide high quality service requests support to approximately 300 end users Assess and improve request handling workflows, policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency in Ops Understand and manage the security risk mitigation plans in Research Run operational procedures which ensure that Research's technology environment is secure Ensure changes made in Research, that impact Research's digital assets, are made securely Support tech security operations within Research excellently Understand the adversary and their activities that may threaten Research's digital assets Provide support to the security Czar to achieve the goal of securing Research in accordance with the Principles *Position Requirements:* The L1 Security Operation Associate supports the L3 Operations Associate with running the Research Security Programs. Their job is to run the machines that protect Research assets and information.
