At times, would also instruct application developers in the use of database concepts and tools to improve the efficiency of applications and advise on correct usage of appropriate data manipulation techniques. In addition, would work on documentation needs for the team and possibly organize current documentation. This contract position would require an individual with a fair amount of technical experience and someone with an aptitude for technical work, but in addition have a mindset for organizational and documentation skills. Because of the need to provide assistance to and work with team members to solve issues needing technical expertise or database knowledge, being a team player is essential. A minimum of 3 to 5 years working with SQL Server in some capacity would be sufficient. *Skills / Experience: * *Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012 servers and databases. Knowledge and familiarity with MS SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Configuration Manager, and Reporting Services or other SQL Server database management tools a must. A comprehensive understanding of SQL in general and basic understanding of relational databases is needed.
