*Sr. BI Developer / ARCHITECT* *Downtown Atlanta, GA* *12 Month Contract * *Manager Notes * The client currently don’t really have a Microsoft BI environment · This person will not just be a doer but will provide thought leadership in helping build out this DW · Needs to have a vision of what BI is · Will help with the Data Warehouse Design · Strong emphasis on visualization within BI · Will be doing Cube development with SSAS in the future so would like someone to be strong in this area I would NOT consider a candidate with basic textbook knowledge of BI concepts much less critical thinking for design and implementation. MUST HAVE EXCELLENT COMM SKILLS & MUST BE A LEADER *OFFICIAL JOB DESCRIPTION * *Responsibilities* · Use proven BI success to guide technical BI architecture infrastructure/tool design and implementation for ETL, metadata management, data warehousing design; evolve business analytics within Microsoft BI ecosystem (SSIS, SSAS, SQLServer 2012) · Technical team leader to design and implement analytical environment o Work with business analysts to establish data governance and scope analytical deliverables (interactive dashboards, visualizations and tools to support self-service ) o Work with business users to target heterogeneous in-house and third party data sources valuable to analytics. Establish governance and integration of this data into analytical environment o Design and implement data warehouse on SQLServer to support analytical data o Design and implement ETL framework and process to load data warehouse o Design and implement data structures accessible for self-service such as cubes o Deploy and support appropriate end user analytical tools o Deliver structured interactive visualizations in tools that interface with SharePoint 2013 or can be hosted on mobile platform *Must Have:* · 5-8 years of experience in BI including data warehouse design and implementation within Microsoft BI ecosystem · Solid ETL skills using SSIS and SQLServer. Ability to access and integrate data from multiple data sources. Experience in the following: data load performance tuning, implementing data cleansing and aggregation, performing validation to ensure data integrity, integrating error handling, and enabling change management. · Experience working with business users to determine analytical needs then designing and implementing visualizations and interactive dashboards (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, SSRS, etc.) to support decision making process · Able to whiteboard ideas and process / navigation design. Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills including the ability to communicate business concepts, data, infrastructure, workflow, and solution context technical specifications. · Team Member: Able to work in a team environment, share knowledge within the group, and train team members · Self-Starter: Able to work independently, continuously learn, and set goals and achieve milestones · Multi-Tasker: Able to work on several different assignments and ideas in parallel with the proven ability to manage priorities · Problem solver: Able to continuously troubleshoot issues and identify potential issues then design and evaluate multiple solutions and executing as appropriate *Like to Have:* · Experience building SSAS cubes · MDX skills · Experience leading Agile team · Current on other BI ETL and Visualization Tools and innovative in their use · Current on Microsoft BI direction: Cloud, Azure, data catalog, HDInsight , SQL 2014, PowerBI etc. · Design skills: logical data navigation and graphic design (user acceptance) · Mobile experience · BI on SharePoint · PowerPivot/DAX · AS400/DB2 · Tableau · Python Regards: Sam Williams - Recruiting Manager ITBrainiac Inc.
