- This is a unique role – implementation, client support / collaboration
and SDE.
- HIGHLY COLLABORATIVE TEAM! They own the success and are all-in on
projects.
- Manager wants someone that can contribute / pipe up in a meeting if
they identify an issue. Act as SME.
- JOB IS A LOT OF FUN!
- Constantly changing projects and usually have 2-3 at a time (range
from 1-12 months).
- 1-on-1 meetings with Manager every 2 weeks to match the Sprints.
- SEXY space to work in – new tools / technologies, domestic and
international offices (20% travel).
- *Linux Ability Level* – login into SSH, change / list directory,
deploy the Java service. Get into the system and navigate.
Beginner level.
*Daily Break-down:*
- *50% Implementations:* 3rd party integrators, troubleshooting systems
and devices, configure systems using REST APIs, navigate Win and Linux OS,
deploy services onto Win and Linux OS.
- *35% Consulting:* Customer interaction, Agile methodology for tasks,
technical documentation, serve as SME for core products.
- *15% Development:* General script development (language agnostic),
work in RESTful APIs, CRUD (SCRUD, BREAD, DRULAB) operations, C#/.Net or
Java/Groovy, HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript.

open, central hub for managing, monetizing, and syndicating billions of
internet video views each year. Our client’s services provide unmatched
versatility for designing and supporting streaming video businesses on PCs,
mobile devices, and TV. Some of their customers include SyFy, Fox Sports
Network, NBC Sports, National Geographic, Comcast, British Telecom, Travel
Channel, and more.
The Client Solution Engineers play a crucial role in our client’s
consulting engagements. Responsibilities range from a wide variety of tasks
and must be skilled in every aspect of a project in which they are involved
while still staying abreast to bleeding edge technologies.
- CSE’s meet with customers (in-person or remotely) to assist in
requirements gathering and technical discussions.
- CSE’s will provide suggestions on how to best integrate and optimize
the workflow using our client’s services.
- Will and must be able to identify a technical gap is essential, along
with providing a best-practice approach to the gaps.
*Day to Day:*
Responsibilities include Implementation, Customer Interaction, Development,
Troubleshooting and Documentation:
- Configure accounts in MPX. Wire up to function for customer workflow.
- Proof of concepts / mock ups.
- Assist in unit testing, on-site installations, performance tests,
configuration, etc.
- Identify common components to build into the client implementation.
Will identify and propose ideas for new components and refactoring of core
features.
- Assist in the design and implementation of components and solutions
for customer-specific processional service agreements.
- Assist in writing customer specifications for content ingest and
custom workflows.
- Communication via e-mail, telephone and in-person interactions –
progress updates, technical consulting, etc.
- Will write up scripts or services (language agnostic) to assist in
product implementation.
- Provide overviews and documentation to customers for API usage and
considerations.
- Write scripts to troubleshoot product services.
- *Experience with RESTful APIs and CRUD operations.*
- System troubleshooting and Enterprise-level service deployment
(includes general Linux management).
- Device troubleshooting (HTTP debugging proxies, using device
simulators, web-based consoles, etc.).
- Create, maintain and document specific customer implementations (lab,
trial accounts, etc.).
- Configuration management – track different configurations and add to
source control.
*Must Have:*
- Past experiences working under a consulting firm or in a consulting
capacity highly desired, but not required.
- *Understanding REST, Web Services, and relevant design patterns.*
- Experience working in modern web technologies, such as *HTML, CSS and
JavaScript. HTML5 and CSS3* are preferred.
- Familiarity with *Linux operating system* at an intermediate level.
- Familiarity with *Agile software development methodologies*.
- Strong trouble shooting, problem-solving skills, creativity and
resourcefulness.
- *Strong communication skills*.
- An aptitude for coming up with diverse hypothesis for testing theories.
- A passion for design and a drive to get the details right.
- A dedication to customer satisfaction.
- Understanding with database schema design, stored procedures.
- Travel up to 20%.
