*In the application space that would include VB .Net .NET framework 3.5 and
higher, MVC as well as traditional .NET, N-tier applications,
SharePoint,TFS to include TFS administration and VSTS; In the security
space some knowledge of ADFS, FIM, and other Microsoft security tools is
helpful;some infrastructure background would be helpful as well.  DODD uses
an F5load balancer as well. Ability to be conversant in session management
and work with infrastructure staff in this space would be a plus.*






















*Secondary expectations of the incumbent will be knowledge of TFS in order
to interact with DODDs TFS code administration server.   As a lead the
incumbent could assist in development of code builds,
assistingdeveloperswith code builds and providing guidance on branching,
merging andshelvingstrategies implicit in TFS.   As a lead the incumbent
may interact withthe DODD infrastructure team to troubleshoot application
support and newdevelopment issues related to code deployments and
implementations.Specifically this could involve working with infrastructure
staff whenapplication issues arise related to use of the agencies F5 load
balancer.The incumbent will also interact with the DODD security team in
support of the continued role out and deployment of the new DODD security
platformfor applications that includes components related to the
followingMicrosoft technologies (ADFS, FIM and UAG).The Product Specialist
requires significant to expert experience andskills in the technologies
listed above.  The Product Specialist willusually also have significant
experience in the operating environment(windows server))on which the
development platform and associatedapplications are hosted.  If the product
is one that was internallydeveloped, the supporting PS should also have
most of the skills of aProgrammer. The Product Specialist is responsible
for collaborating withTechnical Architecture Specialist, System
Specialists, Programmers andvendors to ensure and enhance the use of the
product and effect migrationto new versions of a product.*
