The Senior SQL Server Database Administrator is responsible for working primarily with development and operations teams. Provide technical expertise and hands-on support in consolidation and migration of databases to new hardware and platforms. Senior DB Engineer/architect who can design, develop, and implement SQL server solutions for complex projects, and have deep understanding of SQL server security requirements. Provide technical expertise in all aspects of database implementation life cycle from sizing, through capacity planning, design, and implementation. Physical implementation of databases, storage structures, high-availability solutions, replication, and disaster recovery solutions. Provide inputs in defining database standards and best practices for advanced monitoring and troubleshooting, performance tuning and automation Various technologies within SQL Server: Data Mirroring/Replication, SSIS. Configuration of SSRS and SSAS SQL Server performance monitoring and troubleshooting SQL Server Scripting skill Recommend, implement, and maintain best practices and corporate standards. Backup and recovery processes for all SQL Server databases Work as a team member and individually Troubleshooting, problem analysis, and resolution Fulfill ad hoc query and report requests Skills Required Experience with multi 500+ GB databases SQL Server performance tuning Strong skills in database performance analysis and tuning Team player with strong communication skills Experience Required 5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or above Experience Preferred Education Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
