*Position Details : SAS Technical Architect/ Grid Administrator* *Work Location : Indiana polis, IN**Duration : 12+ Months* *Description:* The consultant will be responsible for the following: 1. Utilizes deep knowledge of SAS technology, architecture and resources. 2. Applies knowledge of software or applications development life cycle. 3. Employ best practices for SAS server software to support hundreds of users (SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Display Manager/PC SAS) from multiple departments/division. 4. Provide oversight, administration, and support of the SAS GRID environment. 5. Evaluates and coordinates implementation needs of SAS applications. 6. Assesses potential application of SAS products to meet customer needs. 7. Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific SAS applications. 8. Helps to ensure that the customer maximizes the value of their SAS usage. 9. Acts as the strategic advisor to SAS users and customer IT management. 10. Builds trust with SAS users, helping to promote and maintain the integrity of the IT/business unit relationship. 11. Seek to identify business users’ pains, and setting priorities on specific action items. 12. Documents how SAS is being used while periodically recommending changes or enhancements. 13. Promotes use of SAS technology, solutions and resources (consulting, technical support, training, conferences) available to ensure optimal use and customer satisfaction. 14. Planning the deployment of new SAS technologies. *Qualifications:* 1. supporting and implementing SAS BI and analytics software suites. 2. 5 years of experience doing SAS administration. 3. 3 years of experience administering SAS GRID. 4. Experience installing and configuring SAS software, implementing hotfixes, and software patches. 5. Experience monitoring and troubleshooting SAS services. 6. Experience with SAS Management Console – adding identities, defining libraries, setting permissions and access controls, creating metadata folder structures. 7. Experience with migration of metadata objects through the traditional DEV/TEST/PROD lifecycle. 8. Knowledge and Administration implementation experience with core SAS software, including: 9. Supporting hundreds of users with Foundation SAS and SAS Enterprise Guide 10. SAS/SHARE 11. SAS/ACCESS to various relational databases 12. SAS SPDS 13. SAS Grid 14. Experience administering SAS within AIX, Linux, and Windows OS environments. 15. Experience with CITRIX. 16. Experience with UNIX and Linux Shell scripting. 17.
