It enables the creation, classification and management of the organizational vocabulary and business definitions to provide better alignment between business and IT users. IBM Business Glossary: · Provides better business understanding of the information by adding the business and technical context to business terms and reports · Accessible from any application, spreadsheet or/and report, allowing immediate context to the information reviewed · Promotes better communication among business users and IT by providing greater awareness on the information sources, representation and stewardships *NOTES:* · True Consultant –– 50% Client Facing · H1 Is Fine, But Needs Strong Communication / Presentation · NON LOCAL IS FINE, BUT FIRST PREFERENCE IS LOCAL · Data Cleansing, Data Profiling, Data Reference · No Research only managing data · Must be polite with no heavy accents. · This position will be replacing a current consultant at Northern Trust. *Our ideal candidate would have hands on experience in the IBM business glossary tool with sound knowledge on data dictionaries and with good verbal and written communication skills.* *Responsibilities:* · Migrating dictionaries, rationalization and analysis of data dictionary in business glossary, correlating terms between dictionaries. · Assist in capturing and managing business and technical metadata within online Business Glossary tool · Investigate data element definitions and characteristics as they exist within different business applications · Perform data quality analyses on common data elements that exist across disparate systems . Create data lineage connections between business metadata and technical metadata within Business Glossary · Support data quality root cause investigations and coordinate data fix activities between Data Stewards and technical teams.
