One of my clients in *(Cincinnati, OH*) is looking for a *(Solution Architect with Insurance background and SOA*) for a contract position, please have a look into the description and let me know your interest. *Requisition ID:* #TTSSD300 *No. of Positions:* 1 *Job Title:* Solution Architect with Insurance background and SOA *Work Location:* Cincinnati, OH *Contract Duration:* 6 Months *Right to Hire:* No *Direct Hire:* No *Pay Rate/Salary(All Inclusive):* DOE *Expenses Paid* No *End Customer:* Confidential *H1’s Accepted* Yes but Prefer GC/USC *Interview Process* Phone Hire *Primary Skills:* - 5+ years working with insurance underwriting and policy administration systems. - 3-5 years experience in performing a solution architecture role. - 3-5 years experience in insurance and/or financial services systems. - 3-5 years experience in working in a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment and web services. *Responsibilities * Identify key business and technology drivers that impact front-end underwriting and policy management solution and application architectures. - Provide technical direction regarding front-end systems, primarily underwriting and policy administration solution design and development. - Collaborate with other architects and technical leaders across the organization to develop best practices. - Generate and maintain cross-functional roadmaps to help guide development teams. - Develop conceptual system designs and implementation strategies to use for more detailed design and evaluating long-term implications of design choices. *Qualifications * Experience: - 5+ years working with insurance underwriting and policy administration systems. - 3-5 years experience in performing a solution architecture role. - 3-5 years experience in insurance and/or financial services systems. - 3-5 years experience in working in a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment and web services. - Firm understanding of Software Architecture, Design Patterns, and Middleware. - Firm understanding of Web client and server-side technologies. - 5+ years working with Internet technologies. *Skills:* - Strong property & casualty insurance domain knowledge. - Strong understanding of insurance underwriting and policy administration systems—both functional and technical. - Experience in insurance product configuration and industry specific models and frameworks such as ACORD and IAA is preferred. - Experience with Business Rules Management Systems is highly desirable. - Ability to work with business and IT staff to define high-level solution architectures and architecture best practices. - Strong problem-solving skills across both process and technical domains. - Solid understanding of OOD and domain modeling. - Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills. - Strong collaboration skills—ability to provide technical leadership and resolve conflicts of opinion across diverse, cross-functional teams. - Must be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative. - Customer-service oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
