Our Client is seeking a Project Manager-Testing Manager Services Location: Southern CT Duration: 12+ months Visa: US Citizen or GC Job title: *Project Manager-Testing Services* *TEST MANAGER* Must be local candidates to, CT or willing to relocate • Strong background in test leadership - worked as a tester at some point in their career, experience with large project delivery • Experience in managing people (responsible for hiring, performance reviews, salary administration , etc.) - not to be confused with leads that directed the daily work of others, but without the other responsibilities • Test automation experience/ technical skills - we are transforming our organization to test automation as our standard test role. Our toolset for Oracle is OATS/OTM with FlowBuilder and OpenScript. Individual will be responsible for evaluating/implementing automated toolsets for use with all other engineering and development efforts. • Stable Work History is Essential! • Must be a United States citizen with a clean background JOB SUMMARY: Manages activities and staff responsible for Functional testing, System Integration testing, Regression testing, Performance testing and Security testing functions. Will also coordinate UAT testing as part of the project life cycle and sign off criteria. Accountable for all aspects of testing including test strategy, test planning, test estimation, test case design, test automation, traceability, test execution, defect management and test reporting. Assigns personnel to various projects/agile standing teams and manages activities. Reviews and evaluates associate work and prepares performance reviews and development plans. Confers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods. Consults with personnel in the Business and other IT functional domains such as Project Management, Requirements Analysis and Application Development to coordinate activities. RELATIONSHIP: (Reports to whom?) *JOB RESPONSIBILITIES* 1. Manages all activities and functions of a staff involved in testing new and/or existing applications in both Waterfall and Agile project frameworks. 2. Manages a staff responsible for test planning, test design, test case development, test automation, test data development, test environment development as well as test execution. 3. In support of project delivery, leads in the development and implementation of the overall strategic vision and integration of continuous improvement ideas regarding testing capabilities. 4. Assists in the development and implementation of testing policies, standards, procedures and methodologies. 5. Position is a first-level manager and has direct responsibility for people management Responsibilities include staffing, career development, performance management, and pay determination and communication. 6. Responsible for vendor management in relation to staff augmentation 7. Manages salary and expense budget for assigned staff. 8. Participates in the negotiation of vendor agreements around delivered software products 9. Performs other duties as assigned. *JOB REQUIREMENTS:* Education/Certifications: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, mathematics or related field is strongly preferred. Testing industry certification is strongly preferred.
