*Job Description:*
Our client, located in Madison, WI is looking to hire a System/ Network
Engineer to join their growing team. This individual's focus will be
designing and installing the infrastructure required for various projects
with this organizations clients as well as maintenance, upgrades and
installation of servers, Cisco equipment and new PCs internally. This is a
very exciting opportunity for someone looking for an opportunity that will
allow them to continue to learn and develop while working for an exciting,
growing organization.
*Responsibilities:*
- Implement and maintain network and computer systems to meet the needs
of their clients and the project at hand including installing switches,
firewalls, and routers.
- Responsible for designing the network layout as well as
troubleshooting
- Set-up, deploy and support the server environment
- Set-up and support of Microsoft Operating Systems
*Qualifications:*
- Set-up and support of MS Windows Server 2003 / 2008
- Set-up and support of Microsoft Windows XP / 7
- Strong Cisco experience including routers, switches, firewalls, and
VLANs (Net gear routers, managed switches and firewalls experience is also
preferred)
- MS SQL 2005/2008 knowledge a plus
- Installation and management of the SQL Server environment
- Some knowledge of database set-up including T-SQL
- Experience with network layout / troubleshooting
- Willing to learn additional duties as required
- Virtual Computer/Server knowledge a plus
Experience with Hyper V
