*Responsibilities:*
- Work closely with Business Analysts/Users to understand/clarify/write
requirements and determine the appropriate solution for new or existing
systems
- Develop Software using various open source web development
technologies, including Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JRuby, Java, JavaScript,
HTML/CSS, JQuery, SQL, and other languages.
- Integrate custom software with various commercial software products
including ERP, Financial, and graphic systems.
- Responsible for assigned projects which enhance, maintain, and support
existing software
- Responsible for all technical and/or business phases within a project
- Make recommendations for system and or process improvements
- Responsible for coding, debugging and documenting assigned tasks
- Develop and execute test plans for new/enhanced applications to
fulfill company needs
- Work effectively and mentors team members
- Work in a collaborative agile team environment
*Qualifications:*
- 5+ years development experience with Ruby, Python, or similar web
development language
- 5+ years experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with web application framework
- Experience with relational database schema design and development
(e.g. MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)
- Experience working with Unix/Linux environments
- Ability to learn at a fast pace and be able to rapidly learn and
leverage 3rd-party tools and APIs
- Excellent computer skills, decision making, and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Research and quickly adapt to new technologies
- Demonstrates expertise in time management and interpersonal skills
- Proactively seeks opportunities to serve in leadership roles
- Identifies critical issues with ease
- Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging technology
practices when solving business problems
- Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry
practices and client mindsets
- Independently or with minimal supervision
- Manages multiple projects with varying deadlines
- Delivers quality projects on time
- Able to create and execute project plan using defined project
management methodology
- Work in collaborative environment with internal and external customers
- Mentor others is key to this position and includes both IT and
business users
- Demonstrate strong proficiencies in managing people, process, and
technology

direction of the group and gain the confidence of the customer
