*Job Title: *Linux System Administrator *Location: *Atlanta, GA
*Duration:* 12 Months (Possible Extension) *Required Qualifications * - Bachelor degree or relevant work experience - System administration experience with large server base for a minimum of 5 years. - 5 Years’ experience with Linux Administration *PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:* - RHCE certified – Preferred - Experience with RHEL 5, 6 & 7 - Linux and/or Solaris skills (4-6 years systems administration). - RHCSA/RHCE Certification Preferred - Experience in a multi-tiered, distributed and diverse infrastructure a must - Must have experience in environments that are larger than 2000 servers. - System level programming in Shell/Perl scripting *Specific Responsibilities* • Must be able to work with minimal supervision on complex projects • Build and Integrate Hadoop Cloudera environment utilizing Kerberos on Red Hat • Work with the Hadoop team to create the processes needed to integrate Hadoop with other application already active in the environment • Document processes and procedures required to support the Linux Hadoop Environment • Take direction and perform job related functions as directed by team leadership • Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills, in-depth knowledge and attention to detail • Must be able to work collaboratively with other infrastructure groups • Should be detail oriented and able to think independently; exhibit a high level of initiative and self-confidence, along with strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrate excellent time management skills • Participate in the design and implementation of new or changing systems, based on customer needs and internal guidelines • Share knowledge by effectively documenting work and processes • Stay current on new technology and methodologies in the areas of expertise • Collaborate with multiple business units and customers to ascertain systems requirements and design optimal solutions to meet the needs of the business. • Respond quickly and effectively to issues and takes responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution • Plans for contingencies, anticipating future demands, commitments and directions • Establishes work priorities by considering importance and urgency. • Interacts well with others to ensure they clearly and accurately understand points of view regarding recommendations, analyses, etc • Utilizes provided tools, logic, and other appropriate resources to make decisions • Technical escalation point when team members are unable to resolve issues through normal research avenues • Participate in rotating 24x7 on call rotation • Remain aware of current issues facing the team and provide leadership to keep the focus on resolution • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and network related technologies such as LAN/WAN topologies, transports and routing. *Warm Regards,* *Rohan Kumar* Pyramid Consulting, Inc. *O: *770-255-3278 E: [email protected] Web: www.pyramidci.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
