*InfoSphere Streams Developer*
Candidate needs to be highly motivated, very flexible, and able to work in
an environment that constantly requires new ideas and inventions. The
candidate should have strong analytics skills, demonstrate critical
thinking, be self-driven and have willingness to research new ways to
approach a difficult problem. The candidate must be able to apply the above
skill set in developing and prototyping innovative solutions.
*Education:* Bachelor’s Degree in CS or related fields such as Engineering
or Mathematics
*Experience:* 2+ years of experience developing SPL applications
*Responsibilities:*
· Develop Streams applications to analyze, filter, enrich and
process real-time data to be used or stored for further analysis and
reporting.
· Integrate Streams with multiple systems to obtain real-time or
historical data utilizing different protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, Web
Services, etc).
· Parse semi-structured and unstructured data utilizing Streams
native functions or TextToolkit.
· Manage Streams using the streamtool CLI.
· Relational DB development with DB2, SAP HANA and SolidDB is
required.
· Develop custom primitive operators in Java or C++ if
out-of-the-box functionality is not present.
· Understand system design, architecture and development through
scaling, performance and scheduling.
