*Job Description:*

*Assignment Details:*

   - Selected candidate will perform daily operational tasks – for example,
   candidate will review, coordinate and execute database object modification
   scripts and SQL Server jobs modifications, provided by application
   developers, in the Test and Production environments.
   - Candidate will work closely with the other IT departments to support
   and perform database and job upgrades to newer SQL Server versions.
   - Candidate will have a basic understanding of how to troubleshoot
   performance issues and present technical options and risks to diagnose and
   solve issues within the SQL Server suite of technologies, including
   Database Engine and Integration Services.
   - Selected candidate will work with application developers and business
   users to assist in the planning and execution of the database and jobs
   upgrades across the Development, Test and Production environments.
   - Candidate must have planning, research, time management,
   multi-tasking, problem resolution and decision making skills in a demanding
   situation supporting Production systems.
   - Candidate must have a proven ability to work effectively and
   collaboratively, with internal business and technical teams, vendors and
   consultants, and the ability to take directions and plan and execute
   independently or with minimal guidance.


*Skills & Requirements:*

   - A qualified candidate must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on
   experience in SQL Server database administration including maintenance,
   troubleshooting and support
   - In-depth understanding of SQL Server databases including versions SQL
   Server 2008, 2008R2 and 2012. Candidate must be proficient in Windows
   Server 2008R2 and Windows Server 2012R2 system administration in the areas
   of share/file/folder permissions, configuration and administration and FTP
   configuration and administration
   - Hands-on experience with SQL Server database upgrades and SQL Server
   Integration Services packages administration and upgrades, and SQL Server
   database backups and recovery.
   - Experience in supporting Development, Test and Production environments
   is required.
   - Candidate must have excellent interpersonal, communication and
   documentation skills.
   - Candidate must be available to work weekends and overtime, if
   necessary.

   - Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
