*Job Title : Application Packaging Engineer with Altiris exp* *Location : Irvine, CA * *Duration : 3+ Months* *Job Responsibility: * Primary responsibility includes packaging applications for distribution to PCs and/or servers. Applicants must be very proficient in developing custom application packages and rewraps of existing vendor packages. This job requires strong technical and solid communications skills. Requirements: • 5+ years' experience in working with packaging tools such as SMS, Flexera AdminStudio and/or Wise Package Studio. • Extensive experience o Building MSI installations to address first time installs and upgrades o Repackaging of commercial and internal software o Generating transform files & patches o Creating custom actions for install, repair and uninstall actions o Developing installation automation using VB and CMD scripts • Familiarity with desktop virtualization packaging solutions (e.g. VMware ThinApp, Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V)). • Experience with testing packages to confirm that they properly install the applications being packaged. • Solid written and verbal skills a must to effectively communicate with Application Developers and SMEs in order to implement and support packaging requirements and to provide status updates as necessary. • Familiarity with deployment methodology such as Altiris, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Citrix Xenapp, login scripts and/or group policies is a plus. *Venu* *USM Business Systems* *[email protected] <[email protected]> * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
