Please send the resumes at [email protected] Job Title: VMWare Engineer Location: Brooklyn, NY Duration: 3 Months SCOPE OF SERVICES Building VM’s, managing VM templates, executing technical discovery, design, and deployment deliverables for VM migrations and performance management of a large, pre-production and production Virtual Environment primarily of vSphere/ESXi 5.1 5.5 and 6.0 environments across several physical locations. Develop, test and document standards for infrastructure design and implementation. Provide technical and strategic vision about related technologies, and able to describe customized solutions to address complex environments. Test and document implementation guidelines for new VMware technologies being deployed in the data center(s). Perform proactive monitoring to identify potential and/or problems and provide resolution; manage disaster recovery plans; resolve complex technical operational problems; and handle special projects and initiatives as assigned. MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate should possess the following: VCP certification-VMware 5 Certification; 5+ years of experience within a related role in troubleshooting, analyzing and problem solving in successfully resolving issues with Windows virtual servers; experience working Windows Servers 2003, 2008, 2008/R2 and 2012; exchange and/or SQL experience a plus; knowledge of TCP/IP network and switch and load balancer configuration; strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues on all tiers; Advanced knowledge of VMware tools stack –vRealize Application Services, vRealize Automation, vRealize Cloud Management Platform, VSAN and EMC Virtual Storage Integrator, experience in managing DNS, DHCP, Remote Desktop Session Host, DFS, and Microsoft Failover Clusters; experience in VMWare (ESXi) support; experience in vCenter Operations Manager, vCloud Suite, and SRM; experience in VMware /RHEL recovery planning and implementation; experience with Shell and/or PERL scripting a plus; excellent communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills; and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Additionally, the candidate will need to have an extensive technical background covering all aspects of data center migration and hosting.
