Job Title: Oracle DBA Location: Lansing, MI Duration: 12 Months Direct Client Position Client: State of MI *Rate :$45-50/hr on C2C* The DBA position is responsible for database administration, planning, troubleshooting, and system management for the Red Card (non-life threatening) Data Collection and Distribution (DCDS) and Time & Expense (T&E) combined statewide systems. It also is responsible for the M4 system. This Database Administrator is responsible for database integrity and usability of DCDS, T&E and M4. The person must be thoroughly knowledgeable of Oracle Relational Database management Systems, their support and administration, and also have a working knowledge of the UNIX operating system. The failure of any part of these systems would have negative statewide impact. Oracle 11G Skills Required •Experience in and thorough knowledge of Oracle database administration •Knowledge of large computer systems, networks, databases, relational database administration, database tools, high level computer languages, and PC systems •Knowledge of the fundamental principles, theories, techniques, and methodologies of data processing systems analysis. •Ability to prepare detailed written instruction and documentation. •Ability to express complex technical concepts at a level appropriate to the audience, both verbally and in writing. •Knowledge and/or training in UNIX scripting and UNIX System Administration.
