Position : ETL Engineer - Vertica Location : Sunnyvale, CA Duration : 5+ Months *Skills and Experience required:* - Design, Develop, Test and deliver projects with Data Warehousing concepts & tool - Define technical requirements, technical and data architecture for big data processing and building highly available and scalable services - Implement/Develop methods and technology for keeping data secure and private - Work with noisy, dirty and unstructured data. Data cleansing, scraping unstructured data and converting into structured data - Implement data processing using map reduce, pig, hive scripts, Hadoop streaming, kafka, scala, spark and scheduling jobs - Effectively creates clear and concise documentation, produces source to target maps, understands and validates metrics - Performance tuning of a columnar database /NoSQL database like Vertica.
