Primary responsibilities/essential functions: • Responds to more complex and/or more severe production incidents and helps resolve and/or escalate in a timely manner. Coordinates with other Customer groups to resolve incidents and problems, as necessary. Escalates complex problems to the next level of support as required by documented procedures • Implements, adapts and maintains complex supporting infrastructure components. o Ensures provisioning of assets into infrastructure environment using standard or custom solutions and ensures resulting environment aligns to intended specifications and designs. o Collects capacity, performance and demand metrics from the existing environment and facilitates the implementation of any changes and releases required. o Ensures stability of platforms through proper change controls. Develops, maintains and communicates procedures for proper change execution. o Ensures processes and methods are consistent, predictable and reusable in future similar circumstances within and across teams. o Develops and maintains a comprehensive library of current hardware, operating system and supporting software process and procedure documentation. • Responds to inquiries, requests for information or support, and escalations from Level 1 support and/or other ITG or business users. o Responds to task requests or incidents and takes appropriate and necessary action. o Provides post-implementation and system checkout support for changes to production applications and services. o Provides information and updates to tasks and incidents in the appropriate systems and knowledge base tools. • Works with other technology teams to improve system monitoring tools and processes to continually improve the service delivery and support model for end users. o Proactively identifies and prioritizes technology issues requiring change(s) to application systems. o Plans, facilitates, coordinates and participates in meetings to discuss and implement improvements and solutions. • The responsibilities of this position may require on-call time or work outside normal business hours. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Skills/qualifications: Seeking network security skills with Intermediate to Advanced level knowledge and experience of the following technologies: i. Must have skills: 1. IPv4 Networking and Addressing, Network Protocols and Network Routing 2. Checkpoint Firewalls (GAIA, R75, R77) 3. Checkpoint Virtual Firewalls (VSX) 4. Checkpoint Firewall advanced routing, bridging, VPN and NAT/PAT 5. Checkpoint Security Management platforms (Muti-Domain Security Management, SmartEvent, Smart-1 Appliances) 6. Checkpoint Next Generation features (Application/URL Filtering, Identity Awareness, IPS, Anti-Bot, Anti-Malware, Threat Prevention) 7. Firewall Reporting and Workflow tools (Tufin, Algosec, Firemon) 8. Ability to work independently in a highly-technical and fast-paced environment 9. Availability for after-hours and/or weekend work ii. Highly desired skills: 10. Bluecoat Proxies on SGOS 11. Bluecoat Proxy policy management and ICAP/DLP 12. DNS/DHCP (preferably using BT Diamond solution, BIND 9.x, ISC DHCP) iii. Additional skills, a major plus: 13. Checkpoint CCSA or CCSE 14. Bluecoat BCCPA or BCCPP 15. Palo Alto firewalls 16. SNMP systems management 17. Knowledge of Multicast, Anycast and IPv6 18. DLP solutions 19.
