Job Title : Project Manager with Medical Device experience Location : Jacksonville, FL, Ft. Worth, TX & Louisville, CO Duration : 3+ Months ****3 must haves*** Very task driven, able to get it done right and follow through Medical Device experience Short learning curve* *Position Description: *This position has the responsibility and authority for executing supply chain projects and programs in the supply base as required by the business unit. Key focus areas are make versus buy decision making, preparing bid packages through request for proposals (RFPs), presenting business cases, working with Research and Development, Operations, and Quality to understand the Critical to Quality (CTQ) product requirements and leading product transfer activities of either existing Surgical Technologies products, new Research and Development pipeline products launched with a supplier or products transferred to a CM following a new company acquisition. This position will foster a culture of continuous product and process improvement within the supply base focused on lean and six sigma methodologies, value engineering and product innovations as well as partnering with key stakeholders in Research and Development, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to reach business objectives. *Position Responsibilities: *• Overall lead of product transfer activities to a supplier from internal and/or external sources. • Prepare and present make versus buy business case analysis of external manufacturing. • Possesses and utilizes sound negotiation and value analysis skills to reduce overall costs. • Works closely with Supplier Quality to monitor and correct supplier issues. • Promotes relationships with all suppliers and OEMs on Surgical Technology’s approved supplier list. • Research and understand the relevant markets and cost drivers as well as recommend strategies to improve processes throughout the supply chain (long term volume supply agreements and price points, supplier managed inventory (SMI) plans, lead time reduction and quality improvements). • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvement in the overall process. Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships internally and partnerships externally while gaining their trust and respect. • Supports continuous supplier improvements through participating in rapid improvement / Kaizen events, supplier quality audits, training and certification. • Participate in and/or lead improvement teams within the supplier. • Develop and drive opportunities to eliminate waste from the overall supply chain process. • All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System. • Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations. • All other duties as assigned. • Travel requirement: 30-40% *Basic Qualifications: *• Bachelor’s degree required. • 4+ years of relevant business experience required. *Specialized Knowledge Required* • Previous experience with deploying large contract manufacturing strategies with complex supply chains. • Working knowledge and experience in product transfers, scorecard development and metrics, contract negotiations and lifecycle management required. • Working knowledge of SAP systems, manufacturing processes and understanding of design and quality requirements as they relate to contract manufacturers, components and assemblies. • Experience in a highly regulated industry. *Preferred Qualifications * • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred. • Master’s degree in Engineering and/or a MBA is a plus. • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral. • Medical device or aerospace industry preferred. • Demonstrated project management skills. • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and MS Project programs. • Must be self-motivated and have proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate others. • Ability to resolve complex supply chain issues. • Six Sigma, Lean and DMAIC knowledge is a plus. • Specialized training or experience in the Negotiating, commodity management, Supply Agreements, Contract Law, Process Analysis, Finance (shareholder value), Team Leadership, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Group Facilitation a plus. -- Best Regards, Kumar Gourav 952-546-3300 Ext: 5002 [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
