*Role: SQL DBA with Development experience* *Contract 6+ months* *Skype hire* *Only **EAD/GC/USC* *Responsibilities:* · Participate/lead a Data Engineering Team supporting one or more application projects · Work with the Database manager to estimate, plan and manage the Data Engineering (DE) activities and deliverables · Update and communicate project status to management and users - Contribute to the design, development, maintenance and documentation of data flows for scheduled and straight-through processing as they relate to the database - Engage and collaborate with the client infrastructure DBA teams to ensure delivery of Data Base (DB) infrastructure components. Ensure integration of DE deliverables with other project deliverables. - Understand existing and new business requirements and make recommendations for new technology adoption where appropriate *Education and Experience Required:* · Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related degree program *Knowledge and Skills: *(6 or more years’ experience for each of the following) · 7+ years’ experience in the Information Technology field · 5+ years’ experience specifically supporting SQL Databases · Extensive experience developing T-SQL, SQL queries and documenting these queries · T-SQL · Erwin/ ErStudio · Powershell scripting · SSAS, SSRS and SSIS · Proficiency with metadata, data modeling and data quality tools an asset · Experience with Multi-platform and multi-system integration · Build/upgrade and tune SQL databases · Perform SQL patching · Backup and restore databases as appropriate · Tune and resolve database performance problems · Platform: MS Windows, knowledge in SQL Server tools · Effective verbal/ written communication *Preferred Skills:* · SQL certification Please send me below information to submit your resume to client.
