Job Title: DevOps tech. Lead (Need GC or USC) Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 6-12 Months The following are DevOps tech. Lead, Coach and Mentor’s responsibilities: • Provide leadership to a diverse group of technical staff as DevOps Tech lead, coach and mentor. • Deliver optimal Continuous Integration (CI) Continuous Delivery (CD) environment to multiple project teams, which are geographically distributed and simultaneously working on multiple products / releases that share code and other resources. • Deliver optimal Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) across multiple software delivery pipelines that collectively build the whole product. • Provide policy guidance, governance support, training & related process to support Agile development teams. • Deliver test automation (unit, functional and system test automation) for multiple client products under development. • Support integration of the Development, Test & Production environments as part of the CI/CD processes. • Ensure technical tasks are delivered on time and within budget, per quality parameters based on industry best practices. • Provide training, coaching, mentoring and handholding to client teams to adopt DevOps culture, industry best practices, team organization, problem solving approaches, communication, transparency and collaborative way of working. Desired Skills and Experience • Agile Software Development and Management methods and ability to excel within an Agile environment (i.e. user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.) • Experience in modern build tools (Gradel, Maven, Ant) • Coding experience in scripting languages. • Experience in source control management systems (e.g., Subversion, Git) and code branching/merging strategies. • Experience in code review tools - Stash, Gerrit. • Experience in Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, Go etc. • Experience in functional test automation techniques and tools. • Knowledge of Binary Management tools like Artifactory. • Knowledge of Systems level configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ensemble, Salt). • Some experience with Code quality management tools like Sonarqube. • Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, New Relic, etc • Experience with Agile Requirements Management / Project Management tools - Rallydev, Jira + Agile Jira etc. • Familiarity with J2EE and C++ applications. • Experience with Cloud environments. • Good understanding of Quality Control in Agile-based Continuous Integration environments • Expert analytical, organizational, facilitation and collaborative management. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills interacting with all levels of the customer and team.
