We combine the latest open source technologies together with traditional Enterprise software products. *The Role :* As a DevOps Architect at FIRM, you’re helping fortune 500 companies transform towards a DevOps working model and enable capabilities to ship software fast while still maintaining the highest quality and reliability. You would be an expert on the FIRM consulting team with responsibilities that range from shaping the DevOps culture at the client to bootstrapping their continuous delivery ecosystem by enabling cloud-speed infrastructure, one-click automated deployments to production and ability to ship software multiple times a day. The DevOps architect has a real passion for software development and would like to apply the same craftsmanship to infrastructure and operations. Well qualified candidates will have contributed to open source projects, have participated in some technical community or interest group or have written or spoken in public about their technical ideas. Despite having over 7 to 10 years of experience, a DevOps Architect at FIRM will still be an active learner: tinkering with new open source libraries, using unfamiliar technologies without a lot of supervision and learning new programming languages in their spare time, etc. Lastly, the individual, as also a full stack develop, would have deep passion and experience in designing highly available systems through infrastructure as code, intelligent monitoring and open source tooling. *Desired Skills :* The DevOps Architect would demonstrate an excellent knowledge of technology across several domains and share our excitement about (but not limited to): *Development: * NodeJS, Ruby on Rails, Java, Clojure, Golang, Scala, Erlang, Docker, *MQ, Apache Kafka, Spark, Storm, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Datomic, Neo4J, Python, .Net, JavaScript, CSS, SASS, etc. *Infrastructure, Ops: * Docker, Chef, Puppet, AWS, CloudFormation, OpenStack, Consul, Nginx, Mesosphere, Terraform, Atlas, ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana Hubot, NewRelic, etc. Engineering practices such as pair programming, continuous integration, test driven development, Microservices, RESTful design and incremental design should be second nature to the DevOps Architect.
