*Please send resume to **s...@cncconsulting.com <s...@cncconsulting.com>* Job Title: Java Developer w/*Advertising industry exp.* Location: Waltham, MA Duration: 6 Months+ Direct Client Position *Note: Advertising client exp required* Job Description The Server Side Java Developer is responsible for designing and building critical server-side components of the Client’s programmatic ad server platform. The Client’s platform executes mobile and online ad campaigns for a growing customer base that includes many of the leading agencies and trading desks in the industry. The platform integrates with exchanges that offer ad inventory on behalf of content publishers, processing bid requests that the exchanges send and responding with bids. The platform uses advanced techniques in machine learning and big data processing to understand what audience is best suited for each campaign, and thereby to optimize campaign performance. The Client’s ad servers and databases are deployed in a distributed, multi-region, cloud-based infrastructure. Client’s platform developers build the software that enables optimal processing of ad traffic at massive scalability (billions of ad requests per day) and in real time (with response time in milliseconds). Responsibilities: Design and implement new features, new partner integrations, improvements to optimization, and higher performance and scalability in the platform. Work with DevOps engineers to ensure correct deployment and operation of platform components in production. Work with product managers and account managers to analyze and define requirements. Plan and track work in an agile development process. Requirements: BS or MS in computer science or a related field. 5+ years of experience in commercial software development. Objected-oriented design, test-driven development, and Java programming. Experience building high-performance, multi-threaded, distributed applications. Knowledge of Linux or other UNIX operating systems.
