<p><strong>Position: Data Analyst <br>Location: Chester, VA<br>Duration: 6+
Months<br>Interview: Phone OR In-Person<br>Rate: $74/hr on C2C/1099</strong></p>
<p><br><strong>Essential Skills/Competencies (5+ Years Experience
Needed):</strong><br></p>
<ul>
<li>Data Modeling and Database design (strong knowledge of relational database
concepts)</li>
<li>Data requirements gathering</li>
<li>SQL (PL/SQL a plus)</li>
<li>Create ETL specifications and develop data mappings</li>
<li>Data Integration Practices</li>
<li>Understand data needs and translate into data models (DFDs, DSDs and/or
ERDs)</li>
<li>Detailed analysis of data discrepancies to determine source and resolution
of errors</li>
<li>Data requirements gathering experience </li>
<li>logical Data Modeling </li>
<li>of experience in data-centric positions or roles</li>
<li>SQL (PL/SQL is a plus)</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with ETL Tools is a plus</li>
<li>Public Sector background/experience is a plus</li>
<li>*Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and/or RSA Archer a plus</li>
</ul>
<br>The primary role of this position is to provide data analysis support to
ITPM development project teams. <ul>
<li>This
position will analyze business requirements to identify and document
all data needs, definitions around all data elements and all business
rules associate with any data element. </li>
<li>This position will help to identify data redundancies, where appropriate
provide options to reduce data redundancy. </li>
<li>This position will be responsible for the creation of a data dictionary for
each project he/she assigned to.</li>
<li>This position will be responsible for developing data flow diagrams and
logical data models.</li>
<li>This
position will assist with the identification of information flow,
content issues and the transformation of business requirements into
logical data and system models. </li>
<li>This position is eligible for telework and/or a flexible work schedule. Up
to 2 days telework can be considered. </li>
<li>This position is not eligible for over-time and will be capped at 40 hours
a week.</li>
<li>What knowledge, skills, abilities, experiences, certifications are needed
for this position? </li>
<li>Data Modeling and Database Design (strong knowledge of relational database
concepts) </li>
<li>SQL (PL/SQL is a plus)</li>
<li>Data Integration Practices</li>
<li>Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and logical thinking</li>
<li>Ability to understand the business data needs and translate into data

<li>Clear and concise documentation skills</li>
<li>High level knowledge of programming practices</li>
<li>Aptitude for learning new technologies/applications/businesses</li>
<li>Excellent presentation, communication and customer service skills while
maintaining a professional manner</li>
<li>Self-motivated team player – able to work cooperatively in a team
environment</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines when
required</li>
<li>Remain flexible on changing workloads and priorities</li>
<li>Ability to communicate with diversified stakeholders</li>
<li>Data Warehousing is a plus</li>
<li>Business Intelligence is a plus</li>
<li>ITIL certification is a plus</li>
<li>Industry specific knowledge regarding asset inventory systems is a plus</li>
<li>Industry specific knowledge regarding service portfolio management systems
is a plus</li>
</ul>
