Relevant Experience

Technical/Functional Skills  Sr. Business Analyst who is familiar with
healthcare information technology solutions to support the Billing,
Collection and Patient Registration systems.  The Sr. Business Analyst is
responsible for working with users and technical staff to gather user and
business requirements. This professional will focus on understanding the
business needs of the internal customer. The Sr. Business Analyst will
assist in requirements gathering and project leadership; drive the
analysis, design, and development of the solution; write detailed
descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to deploy
the business solution; plan for testing to ensure our recommended solution
meets the business needs; and work closely with the IT management team.



Candidate should have experience in below healthcare domain areas:

•        Experience in providing solutions to Healthcare software Products
& Portals.

•        Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and BCBS billing

•        Must have experience in Develop, Support & Maintenance of
Healthcare applications.

•        Exposure in Healthcare Messaging Standards (HL7, HIPPA etc.,) and
Systems Coding (ICD, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED) Standards.

•        Knowledge in Healthcare Provider Processes, Principles and
Functions.

•        Knowledge in Payer contracting, insurance verification and
re-verification as well as treatment and medication authorization, EDI
transaction sets (ie. 270/271), and patient demographics.

Experience Required  •        Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science,
Healthcare Informatics, or relevant clinical degree.

•        5-10 years of relevant experience in Clinical setting is a plus.

•        6+ years as a Business/Systems Analyst on IT projects

•        Experience with different software development life-cycles (SDLC).

•        Healthcare industry experience required.

•        Must have experience using some Project Management methodology

•        Must have a thorough understanding and experience using
Requirements Management process

•        Must have experience using a Change Control process

•        Experience with Project Management and Requirements Management
tools is highly desired.

•        Experience with latest technologies like SQL Server, .NET &
Sharepoint is a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities  •        Interact with Central Business and
Facility end users to gather requirements for Billing, Collections and
Patient Access software systems.

•        Accountable for documented requirements and Functional
Specifications

•        Develop and maintain committed dates, milestones and deliverables

•        Manage the Change Control process, managing scope within project
constraints

•        Status reporting

•        Facilitate application design sessions and work with the
development team during the development phase

•        Co-ordinate with QA and ensure User Acceptance Testing

•        Assist with quality assurance tasks, including test plan
documentation, test data preparation, defect tracking/resolution, root
cause analysis and resolution

•        Assist with system implementation and rollout

•        User documentation and training

•        Production Support
