The position calls for the ability to be creative, innovative, and work well independently and as a team player. The Senior Software Engineer - DevOps should be forward thinking about industry standards and methods for DevOps practices. · Automate the creation of new environments · Continually improve our visibility into our systems and applications with advanced monitoring, metrics and log analytics · Extend and improve our deployment workflow and toolset · Build automated tools for maintaining the local Vagrant VMs · Deploy config changes to Akamai Must have Qualifications: · An aversion to manual processes and the desire to automate · Strong Linux experience (RHEL family preferred) · Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Python / Ruby · Strong knowledge of UNIX scripting primitives (e.g. regexes) · Experience with config management systems · Experience with continuous delivery and automation tools · Experience with service monitoring · Solid understanding of Amazon Web Services or other cloud providers and prior experience in designing and building infrastructure components in a cloud environment *Nice to have or be extremely enthusiastic to learn:* · Docker and Docker-related technologies · Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Docker Compose · Consul, etcd · CDNs (Akamai or Level3) · Chef · Memcached, Redis, Cassandra, Mongodb · Varnish · Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, Travis or similar tools · Any emerging technology in the Devops space is a plus Please send me below information to submit your resume to client.
