Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve most complex problems and compatibility issues. Sets strategic and technical direction for Advanced Services best practices and functional roles. Provides highest-level crisis management. Acts as the technical specialist for the most complex deployments. May act in a technical team leadership capacity. Identifies skills and business shortfalls and establishes programs to address them. Ability to sell / present to customers and partners the value of Advanced Services. Collaborates proactively with other NCE’s to ensure optimal use of resources to meet customer needs (i.e., SmartSourcing). Drives multiple VT initiatives. Produce reusable Intellectual collateral, share and re-use stored collateral and leading practices documentation. Mentor others on Intellectual collateral development. Contributes beyond content and more towards automation of knowledge and measurement of productivity gains. *Proactive Service & Support:* Able to take lead role in working with clients, Account Team and Cisco resources on developing a strategy and the deployment of complex services and required Network Support Systems. Assists customer with deployment and strategy of most complex services and related Network Management Systems. Trains/Mentors others and Leads design workshop. *Reactive Service & Support:* Assures that the most complex customer (s) network problems across a broad range of technologies – as necessary for any client - are properly and quickly resolved. Acts as focal point for most complex network problem resolution. Insures preventative measures are recommended and identified. Location Sacramento, CA T&E (Amount) NA *Resource Details* Grade/Role NCE G10 Quantity of Resources 1 Expertise/Certifications required *Minimum Qualifications * • Experience and knowledge of Service Provider networking environments • Must have good Network design skills, with strong knowledge of networking fundamentals • Advanced knowledge and experience with the following areas: Cisco IOS-XR Software, IOS Software, ASR9K & other Cisco Routing & Switching Platforms. Strong knowledge of IP Routing, Inter-networking, MPLS, LAN Switching • Familiarity with software and features, examples include: MPLS (L2/L3 VPN) and MPLS-TE, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, inter-as, BNG, carrier Ethernet, Qos, Ipv6 • Prior Scripting, Python, and/or Linux experience highly desirable • Candidate must possess strong technical account management skills.
