Title: Sr. Oracle DBA Location: Maryland Heights, MO 63043 Duration: 3 month contract with extensions Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm M-F, on call every four weeks from Thursday to Thursday during nights and weekends Must-Haves - 6+ years of Oracle DBA experience in an Oracle 11g (release 1 AND 2) & 12c environment - Experience migrating Oracle 11g to 12c - Experience working with a ticketing system to resolve and document issues - i.e. user access requests, change ticket request, verifying back-ups have run and figuring out what happened if they didn’t, engaging storage maintenance teams, etc. - Ability to work with application teams on implementations - Experience handling updates and refreshes - Enterprise working in a clustered, high availability environment (200+ Oracle DBs) Plus - Experience working with Oracle Exadata - Service Now ticketing system experience - Experience working with Hitachi storage products Day-to-Day We are looking to add a Sr. Oracle DBA to one of our largest Telecom Clients in the St. Louis area. This person will be working on a team with three others, who are responsible primarily for the day to day operations of the Oracle 11g and 12c environment this includes verifying the overall environment is configured accurately, resolving and documenting trouble tickets in regard to user access requests or change requests, and verifying back-up have run. They do very little project work aside from the 11g to 12c migration, and this candidate in particular will spend the majority of his/her time working the tickets and working with the application teams for new implementations. There is an on-call rotation every four weeks from Thursday to Thursday on nights and weekends.
