*Job Description:  *

*Comcast’s TVX organization is deploying the X1 Platform, a cutting-edge,
media delivery experience to customers across a national footprint.  The X1
Platform is also being used as the vehicle for providing IP streaming,
recording, and playback in the cloud, breaking free of physical equipment
constraints the have limited legacy.  This collection of technologies is
being retailed beyond Comcast for the use of other media delivery operators
in North America.  *



*The X1 Operations Tools (xTools) organization is bringing together
web/data services, network delivery infrastructure, media processing gear,
and consumer devices used in these solutions and presenting interfaces for
system configuration, real-time analysis, and problem recovery.  The source
components are being aggressively changed as market requirements dictate
and cutting edge technologies are regularly being incorporated into the
system.  At the same time, source media is moving to more efficient
encodings for both audio and video, altering the capacity of the processing
pipelines. *



*The ideal Scrum Master is ready to make sure that challenging and rapidly
changing stakeholder requirements are being delivered in a form that
development teams can comprehend and facilitate their increasingly
effective delivery of the value expected.*



*Existing Scrum professionals will lay out current best practices and will
provide oversight and guidance for this position.*



*Position is a contract position with long-term opportunities determined by
performance and team effectiveness.*



*·         Scrum Master possessing at least 3 years experience guiding
technology development teams using agile processes, specifically Scrum and
Kanban.  *

*·         Must be able to master web applications being developed by teams
with the role of an advanced end user.  *

*·         Must have experiencing managing multiple teams simultaneously.  *

*·         Requires experience facilitating Scrum rituals, capturing
metrics from Scrum teams, helping identify blockers to team performance,
and guiding continuous team improvement in agile value delivery.  *

*·         Must demonstrate skills in working with and/or acting as a proxy
for Product Owners, Product Stakeholders, Business Analysts, and
engineering organizations upon which managed products depend.  *

*·         Must have superior communication skills and experiencing
coordinating with multiple organizations interacting with the teams or
products they are responsible for. *





*Required Skills:*

*·         Intimate familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, and general agile
principals and practices*

*·         Effective group facilitation talent that encourages all team
members to contribute and commit*

*·         Understanding of roles and responsibilities in the agile
software development environments*

*·         Understanding of web application and web service product
architectures and basic features*

*·         Ability to quickly understand features as they are added to
managed products and demonstrate them in both formal and informal settings*

*·         Mastery of intra- and inter-organizational dynamics in a large
enterprise*

*·         Excellent written and oral communication skills*

*·         Ability to use both physical and electronic aids to organize and
track the work of multiple teams*

*·         Experience redirecting interruptions to team output into product
backlogs*

*·         Skill at innovating processes that facilitate the needs of
stakeholders and teams on a project by project basis*

*·         Familiarity with distilling the output of team iterations into
documents and facilitating informative demonstrations of product features*



*Desirable Skills:*

*·         Experience managing web applications used for Customer Care and
Support Engineering users*

*·         Subject matter expertise with cable Multiple System Operator
(MSO) technologies, infrastructure, and business practices*

*·         Experience with digital media processing and distribution *

*·         Familiarity with DevOps team organization and responsibilities*
