The X1 Platform is also being used as the vehicle for providing IP streaming, recording, and playback in the cloud, breaking free of physical equipment constraints the have limited legacy. This collection of technologies is being retailed beyond Comcast for the use of other media delivery operators in North America. * *The X1 Operations Tools (xTools) organization is bringing together web/data services, network delivery infrastructure, media processing gear, and consumer devices used in these solutions and presenting interfaces for system configuration, real-time analysis, and problem recovery. The source components are being aggressively changed as market requirements dictate and cutting edge technologies are regularly being incorporated into the system.
