*Role: Regional Infrastructure Specialist*

*Duration: 6-9 Months*

*Location: Dallas, TX*

*JOB DESCRIPTION:*



VoiP experience would be a nice to have, but a *VERY nice to have***

This position requires experience and *subject matter expertise* with *Cisco
IP Telephony, Cisco WAN Routers, and MPLS WAN Services*. The individual in
this position will be responsible for projects and activities that require
communications with both internal and external resources. Well rounded
technical and communications skills are a requirement.

*Examples of projects this role may be responsible for include:*
- Technical Lead and Project Management for r*emote site Cisco MPLS WAN *and
*voice router EOL replacement.*
- Lead or assist with *remote site voice deployments*; *site survey’s,
design, cost, *and
*implementations. *- Lead or assist with *implementation *and *migration*
to *SIP provider services* with professional services assistance.
- Lead or assist with implementation of *E911 *using *Cisco Emergency
Responder*.
- Escalated operational support for *North American Cisco voice, video*,
and *WAN services* are also requirements of this position.

*REQUIREMENTS:*
* Minimum of *five (5) years* I.T. experience in large technical environment
* Production experience with implementing and supporting
*Cisco IP Telephony systems ** Production experience with *Cisco voice/data
routers* and
*MPLS service provider networks **
*Cisco CCNP Voice certification preferred ** Ability to coordinate
technical activities/projects and ensue internal and external resources are
aligned to finalize required task
* Possess ability to articulate and to communicate well in English
(verbally and written)
* Excellent interpersonal skills required; able to work well with local and
international teams
* Proactive and methodical working style with positive and ‘can do’ attitude
* Customer focused and service orientated
* Awareness of IT support processes (Incident, Problem, Change and
Configuration Management)
* Solid understanding of how IT infrastructure components support business
* Experience with vendor management



*RESPONSIBILITIES:*

*This position has functional responsibility:*

* *North American Cisco IP telephony* and *video infrastructure*:
o
*Cisco IP Telephony systems (CUCM 10.5)*o Voice Mail and integration with
other IT messaging systems (*Unity* and *Unity Connection*)
o
*Cisco Unified Contact Center Express*o
*Cisco Workforce Management (AQM)*o *Cisco Video Conferencing* technologies
support
o *Telecommunications Circuit Ordering* and turn-up support
*
*North American Wide Area Network (WAN) Services*o
*Cisco WAN MPLS Routers *o *MPLS service provider networks*
o
*Service Provider vendor management** Familiarity with other infrastructure
technologies and services:
o
*Network Security (Cisco ASA Firewalls)*o
*Cisco Wireless LAN Networks*o Hardware
*Load-balancers (Cisco & Netscaler ADC)** Own and / or contribute to
infrastructure projects to ensure smooth transition into live environment,
deliver on time and to budget, integration of acquired companies, new site
installations, introduction of new applications or development of
Infrastructure services
* Play key support role in ensuring that services remain cost-efficient,
reliable, stable, scalable and secure
* Be point of escalation for incidents from Country Service Desks into 3rd
line groups as necessary (Core Service Desk, Service Owners or Solution
Design)
* Ensure service performance meets or exceeds business expectations and is
delivered in accordance with SLAs
* Work closely with GI architectural staff and other IT units to identify
technology that could benefit business.
* Communicate service outages and changes to business effectively (through
Service Desk)
* Make recommendations to IT management on direction and utilization of
technologies.
