Job Title: Technical Project Manager Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 12 Months Local candidates preferred or State gov experience preferred. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a short term (approx. 12 month) senior project manager to manage a large complex IT project involving multiple DHHS divisions. The selected candidate must be a results-oriented individual with a very strong work ethic and must be able to demonstrate excellent IT Project Management, business analysis negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills. This position will be responsible for working with senior-level business executives, IT personnel, and business program resources to analyze and execute project requirements and manage stakeholder expectations. This lead project management role will work with representatives from multiple DHHS business, DHHS IT, NC County Offices and other stakeholders to define and implement the goal of the initiative. This position will manage the day to day activities on the project including project risks, cost, and schedule, determine and manage project expenses within the allocated budget and complete all input to the State Portfolio Management (Touchdown) system. The PM will ensure the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure project scope delivery Project management experience, preferably with large, complex automation implementation efforts Required7Years Demonstrated Project Management experience on system deployments with multiple clients. Required7Years Proven track record of delivering IT projects within budget, scope and schedule. Required7Years Objective decision-making ability based on strategic objectives priority, business performance analysis and resource availability. Required7Years Hands on experience managing project risk, cost, schedule, quality, testing, and communications. Required7Years Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills. Required Demonstrated presentation and training skills. Required Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
