Please send resumes to *[email protected]. <[email protected]>* *Position *:SAS Admin *Location *: Woonsocket,RI *Duration *: Long-term *Note : Need US Citizens Only* Experienced SAS Administrator with at least 5 years experience in administration/configuration of SAS products on a multi node SAS environment Working in a Load balanced environment (non- Grid and Grid) Experience Handling a large environment and user base Experience in Base SAS, Enterprise Miner, MO Experience on SAS with Teradata and Oracle Experience in Installation/Packaging/Validation Testing of all SAS products Excellent Troubleshooting skills on AIX and Linux Experience in Upgrading/Patching SAS environments Experience in setting up standards/processes Handling User management/Security/Vulnerabilities Experience on 9.3 and 9.4 version of SAS Experience in migrating metadata from one version to another and upgrades Very Good Communication Skills *Tasks:* ¨ Installation and configuration of all licensed SAS software on all targeted servers and a single client machine. ¨ Validation that the SAS software was properly installed and configured ¨ For each server (refer arch diagram below – except server colored in yellow, which is the current active server), the following activities are executed: Installation of SAS binaries are executed using the SDW Hotfixes are downloaded and applied to each binary Configuration of each SAS product solution is executed using the SAS binaries. ¨ Configuration of load balancing (using the cost algorithm) between the 2 compute servers defined as part of the planned architecture. See screenshot of final architecture diagram below. ¨ Compute servers will have the same SAS software installed on both machines (aka homogeneous) as follows: Base SAS® software SAS/STAT® software SAS/GRAPH® software SAS/CONNECT® software SAS/ACCESS® to Microsoft SQL SAS/ACCESS® to PC File SAS/ACCESS® to Oracle SAS/ACCESS® to Teradata SAS® Enterprise Miner™ software SAS/ETS® software ¨ Configuration of HTTPS/SSL on the SAS Midtier Server, noting this involves configuration of HTTPS/SSL between the SAS Web Server and the client browser. ¨ For a single PC, the following activities are executed: Installation of SAS client software is executed using the SDW Hotfixes are downloaded and applied to each client software component Configuration of each SAS client component is executed We do this routinely as part of the install for up to 1-2 days of additional time. To be clear we don't have any packing expertise but would show the customer: ¨ In partnership with CVS, assist with configuration of a silent client deployment of SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Enterprise Miner. Assistance from SAS would include the following: 1- How to subset the SAS Software Depot to make the client package smaller. 2- How to record a response file from SAS Deployment Wizard to capture installation prompts and response. 3- How to replay the response file in SDW for a quiet installation. 4- How to create multiple response files when different users should receive different combinations of SAS client tools. 5- How to handle Windows System pre-requisites as part of the silent install. Validation tasks are executed for each SAS solution on the appropriate servers as well as on the client PC Services also includes validation of the metadata failover testing. Primary and Secondary metadata involved as shown in picture ¨ Migration of metadata from existing server to new (note: MO related jobs will remain on existing servers) ¨ At the end of each business day, the SAS Technical Consultant provides a short email recap of the tasks completed, tasks planned for the next day, and any issues encountered.
