They provide an innovative and cost effective solution for all the technology needs of an organization; whether logistical, operational, administrative or purely technical. Currently we are seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to join the Arlington, VA location. This position will require some travel throughout the MD, VA and DC areas in support of our client’s customers. *Description:* Senior Technology Staff will design, install, configure and maintain Microsoft network and systems architecture for the customers of our client. This position requires a high degree of hands-on knowledge in the administration and troubleshooting of systems, servers, Internet networks, Active Directory, VMWare architectures, storage area networks, and remote backup and restoration technologies. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* - Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, systems, services, equipment, and devices. - Work with Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Internet carriers to monitor and apply performance-enhancing changes to network architectures where needed. - Plan and support network and computing infrastructure. - Perform administration of servers and server clusters. - Design and manage system back-up and restore protocols. - Design and administer software and network security. - Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning. - Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations, and associated systems.
