The incumbent will be responsible for collecting all necessary resource utilization data and creating a capacity planning capability report from cloud, systems, storage, applications and network components. This position will also develop mechanisms and reports to be used in forecasting future requirements. The Senior Systems Engineer will provide a high degree of coordination among user, technical, application, and corporate staff to ensure adequate capacity and utilization of all assets. Above all, this individual ensures reliability and availability of system capacity to economically meet business objectives and requirements. *Required Skills:** Experience monitoring and/or managing a virtualized environment (server partitioning, VM/Linux, VMware). Experience with multiple technology disciplines, such as but not limited to: Information Architecture, Data Management, System engineering, Life Cycle management. General technical skills and experience related to multiple platforms/areas: WebLogic, Oracle, IPlanet, NetApp, Network & LAN/WAN, Hardware (Server level), OS (Linux, UNIX, and Windows), cloud services (particularly AWS). Experience with application monitoring, reporting and performance analysis via system monitoring tools. Demonstrated experience with the automation of monitoring and management tasks via custom scripting or programming. Detailed understanding of server and application performance metrics. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Excellent problem solving ability and exercises sound judgment. Self starter with strong leadership abilities.
