*Job Description:*

Application/Software Developers are involved in the full systems life cycle
and therefore are responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing
and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within
budget.



Works closely with clients, business analysts and team members to
understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of
quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business
and IT strategies and are in compliance with the organization’s
architectural standards. Application/Software Developers are involved in
the full systems life cycle and therefore are responsible for designing,
coding, testing, implementing and supporting application software that is
delivered on time and within budget. Responsibilities beyond development of
software may include participation in component and data architecture
design, technology planning, product evaluation, advanced testing processes
and buy vs. build recommendations. Individuals also provide input to
project plans related to the Application Development initiative. Bachelor
Degree & 4 years of experience, OR an Associate Degree or certifications
(equivalent to 2 years) & 6 years of experience, OR a high school diploma
or GED, & 8 years related experience.



*Expected qualifications include:*



• The ability to absorb information from requirements and wireframes then
produce accessible and semantically sound HTML5 components using commonly
accepted best practices.

• The ability to absorb information from high-fidelity prototypes, mockups
and style guides in order to produce additional CSS3 styling to meet
specific digital experience expectations.

• The ability to leverage CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and bootstrap to make
components responsive.

• The ability to leverage JavaScript and Backbone using AJAX best practices
to make restful service calls.

• The ability to absorb information from high-fidelity prototypes, mockups
and style guides in order to produce additional CSS3 styling to meet
specific digital experience expectations.

• The ability to adapt to the constraints and conventions of working within
a content management system, specifically IBM Web Content Management (WCM).

• Familiarity with development and design best practices for accessibility,
cross browser and cross device compatibility.

• The necessary SQL skills to query an oracle database for test data.

• The candidate will also be expected to provide production support on
rotational bases, as well as verification support following production
deployments.



*Expected soft skills include:*

• Attention to detail and focus on quality of work while being mindful of
expected milestone deliverables.

• Positive team interaction and collaboration using agile and scrum like
development methodologies.

• Proper communication skills, process adherence and tracking using HP
Quality Center.
