*Kindly Reply on: lisa.d...@itbtalent.com <lisa.d...@itbtalent.com>* *4 months - Contract to Hire (EAD,GC or USC)* *San Diego, CA* *Responsibilities:* • Manual and automated deployment of websites, applications and services to production environments • Monitoring of production applications and services using Splunk, Sumologic, LogEntries, Microsoft SCOM, Extrahop, or other tools • Troubleshooting and providing first tier support for sophisticated applications and services • Close coordination and communication with corporate IT teams such as Network Operations Center (NOC) personnel, System Administrators, Network/Firewall engineers, DBAs, Information Security specialists, and other DevOps teams • Support of other non-production environments such as staging, development, and QA • Maintain and build out our cloud infrastructure operating on Amazon Web Services, making it agile, scalable and secure • Work closely with Development Management, Network Operations and Business systems to drive the process in which our DevOps team operates and iterates/releases • Being on-call, writing deployment scripts, debugging applications *Required Skills:* • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service • Familiarity with source code management systems • Familiarity with virtualization technology and networking protocols • Experience with Agile development methodology • Familiarity with security design and process • Strong scripting skills (Ruby/Python/shell) • Solid networking knowledge *Education/Experience:* • Minimum 2 years’ IT experience with DevOps-specific domain knowledge • Must have the ability to work in a cross-team technology environment • Past experience working within change management procedures and compliance • High level understanding of technologies that enable enterprise web applications such as load balancing, content delivery networks, firewall, DNS, etc. • Experience with the AWS cloud is a plus • Excellent problem-solving, communication and written skills • Must thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment • Container technology (docker) experience preferred • 2-3 years PowerShell scripting and batch scripting preferred.
