Position         : Java Developer

Location        : North Plano, TX

Duration        : 6-12 months

Rate             : Open

*Only - EAD, Green Care Holder, Citizen.*

*Job Description & Required Skills:*

1.  Design, develop, test and implement high performance/high availability
Java based applications for the Retail Logistics Centers and Store Support
Centers.

Must be a team player with capability to work in tandem with the development
team, various Engineering teams and business users.

Good communication skills both written and verbal are required.

2.  Candidate must have 2+ years experience designing and developing
Objected Oriented application with a minimum of 2+ years of Java development
experience



*Other skill requirements:*

1. Ability to recognize and implement common design patterns.

2. Expertise in IT infrastructure issues and non-functional requirements
(security, load-balancing,state-management, performance tuning, alerts,
application monitoring, auditing, logging, usage patterns, capacity
planning).

3. Experience in Requirements Gathering and Effort Estimation.

4. At least 1+ year of hands on development experience web services.

5. Supply Chain/WMS experience preferred.

6. Understanding of memory profiling and performance analysis.

*Technical Experience with the following technologies and concepts:*

• Object Oriented Design (and UML Diagramming)

• J2EE Design Patterns

• Web Sphere Application Server

• Java 1.5 / J2EE 1.4 (EJB, Servlets, JCA, JDBC, JSP, JSF, Swing, JMS)

• Application Development with Spring (bean configuration, integrating
Spring with database, JMS, transactions), Hibernate, CXF.

• Web Development (XML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS)

• Web Services and SOAP, Web Services on WAS 6.1 with JAX-WS

• Rich Internet Applications (RIA), Adobe Flash, Flex

• Database Concepts (SQL, ER Diagrams)

• DB2 database software

• Domain Driven Design & Modeling, Data Modeling

*Experience with the following would be considered a plus:*

• Service Oriented Architecture

• IDE(Eclipse)

• Build Tool(ANT) or Maven

• jUnit

• Source Control Tool (Subversion)

• Software Development Lifecycle

• Informatica ETL

• Tibco ESB

• Java Code Quality tools like PMD, Checkstyle, FindBugs

• Agile Software Development

• Environment Planning

*Roles & Responsibility:*

1. Combine industry and technical expertise to develop innovative software
solutions.

2. Contribute to project deliverables.

3. Define and document technical design and architecture and ensure
alignment with enterprise standards.

5. Define and implement software using established design patterns, industry
best practices and enterprise standards.

6. Demonstrate proficient understanding of business processes being
delivered by the software solution, examine tradeoffs between usability and
performance needs of the system and provide alternatives.

7. Profile, analyze and optimize software solutions to meet functional and
non-functional requirements and business service level agreements.

8. Contribute to estimation processes, and track portions of development
schedule including outstanding tasks and dependencies across modules and
projects.

9. Drive domain modeling through active participation with Business & IT
stakeholders.

10. Support testing processes, work with team members to resolve issues.

11.Partner and network with other developers, architects, SMEs and other IT
team members to develop solutions in compliance with established enterprise
standards

12. Effectively communicate with team members and business users.
