Administration*

-This *candidate must be a subject matter expert in IBM DataStage 7.5 and
8.1 (on HP-UX and Linux).*

-DataStage 7.5/8.x (on HP-UX and Linux), RDBMS connectivity for MS-SQL,
Oracle, Sybase and DB2, UNIX scripting.
-MS-Project; Control-M scripting; SSIS (SQL server Integration Svs).

-Position is part of DAS (Data Administration Svs) group providing 24x7 ETL
Admin support for developers and application support staff in Livingston &
Bangalore, India.
•Responsibilities include administering, upgrading and migrating
DataStage/ETL environments
•SME guidance to developers and support teams on ETL job design and
optimization.
• Level 3 (L3) DataStage Administration support and troubleshooting problems
in the HP-UX/Red Hat Linux environment.
• Interface with IBM tech support and internal support teams.
• Security Administration - Manage users and user groups. Participate in
semi-annual security reviews of the environments.
• Effective project planning and migration of all projects in DataStage 7.5
to DataStage 8.1
• Change management activities i.e. elevate jobs to UAT & Production
• Setup and configure links to heterogonous data sources SQL
Server/Oracle/DB2 databases
•  Monitoring ETL performance, predictive analysis of capacity, recovery,
and business continuity issues.
• Strict adherence to STS Change Management, Problem Management and Security
Policies/Procedures.
•Participate in periodic Disaster Recovery tests, including coordination,
off hour attendance, and documentation updates.
• On-call support to enable 24x7 coverage.
• Setup of ETL jobs in Control-M scheduling.

• Work closely with ETL teams in India; mentor peers and customers on new
technologies.
• On-going review of systems design; work with development teams to
constantly improve service offerings, service “up time” and the overall
customer experience
• Keep current on technologies being supported.
