Write and optimize queries to support saved searches, alerts, and reports. Design and improve custom dashboards. Work with knowledge objects to support other responsibilities. Review potential data sources to generate data input and data manipulation configurations. Engage with users and other technical teams to gather data and complete tasks. Collaborate with project management resources. Work on other Splunk development tasks and projects as needed. Assist with continual development of the tools and processes. Drive towards greater automation. Partner with organization peers to further develop and expand visibility and analytics. Drive customer satisfaction. Mentor and motivate cross functional team members. Responsible for leading diverse cross functional teams to implement functionality and provide training on use of the monitoring and analytics toolset. *Position Requirements/Qualifications* 5+ years relevant healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience. 3-5 years of current experience in big data analytics, data warehousing and/or business intelligence domains 3-5 years Splunk development experience. Must have strong analytical, planning, organizational and communication skills with the ability to provide a concise business translation of technical requirements and descriptions. Ability to learn new technologies quickly. Strong understanding of Splunk components and how they work together with focuses on new opportunities and environment performance. Experience with Regex to build and change field extractions. Experience with XML and JavaScript Experience with Splunk REST API and SDKs preferred. Experience in UNIX administration preferred. Scripting experience a plus. Experience with HTML, CSS, Python and Perl a plus. Experience handling PCI, HIPPA and PII data.
