Position           Cognos Report Developer
Location           Dallas, TX
Duration          12+ months

*Skills and Experience Required*
·         Hands on experience in developing Cognos reports using the Cognos
10 BI suite of tools.
·         Creates, modifies, enhances and maintains Framework Manager
Models within Cognos BI.
·         Provide technical assistance with troubleshooting reports by
responding to inquiries and questions.
·         Create and deliver technical specifications for each report
·         Conduct technical design walkthrough sessions and gain approval
for each report
·         Conduct additional testing for each report during SIT and
participate and/or support UAT for the Reporting workstream
·         Review and maintain a baseline report matrix
·         Provide functional/technical support for all work streams
utilizing the developed reports
·         BS/MS degree in computer science or related.
·         8 years of experience in Software Development/Engineering.
·         1-2 years in Financial Services industry preferred.
·         Hands on Experience on Cognos Report Development.
·         6-8 years of work experience in Cognos framework manager models
and reports
·         Demonstrated ability using relational database concepts with a
solid knowledge of Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL.
·         Experience working in production environments on production
servers and provide support.
·         Troubleshoot issues independently.
·         Knowledge of Cognos Security – Access Manager.
·         Some knowledge of scheduling and distributing Cognos reports.
·         Preferred experience with Agile, Scrum project development
methodologies
·         Strong communication skills – oral and written.
·         Self-starter with strong work ethic.
·         Experience being a Tech Lead on a team.
·         Must have strong critical thinking, organizational, interpersonal
communication, and multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
·         Problem solver and desire to close issues; pragmatic and
realistic with solutions.
·         Professional demeanor, able to interact with all levels of the
organization and work in a fast-paced environment.
·         Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with
minimal supervision and direction.
·         Ability to work directly with front-office users to understand
requirements and develop reports.
·         Strong analytical, decision making & collaboration skills.
·         Effective coaching, mentoring & leadership skills.
